I have been really impressed with the children’s positive attitude and determination to complete different challenges.
This week we have been preparing for the Harvest festival. The children in Year 6 have been making clay vases and vegetables. At this time of year we often think about gathering in the harvest of the animals that live on the land and the plants that grow in the soil. But many of the raw materials that we use to build and furnish our homes are mined or quarried from the earth itself. Clay is one such raw material.
Over this half-term Year 6 have been given many opportunities to try something new. We went to UKSA where all the children showed the value of courage to try sailing out on the river Medina. We also learnt the important skill of CPR
