"On the crisp, white tablecloth stood a shining silver jug. Beside it was a vulnerable jelly wobbling in fear. The flowers smelt sweet along with sugar and hot pies with scones on the side."

Over the last two weeks we have looked at Aboriginal Art. So far we’ve learnt that Aboriginal Art is centred on storytelling, using symbols and icons. Jack said “Aborigines first settled in Australia and communicated through these symbols and icons.” “They used sticks and the tips of their fingers to create the symbols,” added Lewis. We had a go at creating our own symbols and icons for this in our everyday life. Here are a few examples…
