We’ve settled in to Year 1, exploring new learning and having fun.

In Science, we’ve been learning about objects and materials in school,

Recognising the differences between them all.

In Maths, we’ve worked hard on new concepts,

Lots of vocabulary, not to forget.

In English, we’re learning new stories and steps to progress,

Using capital letters, full stops and finger spaces to impress.

Mary Ellis have enjoyed new games in PE,

Then learning the Creation story in RE.

Different mark making techniques in Art,

How to find the pulse in music and taking part.

The children have welcomed new friends to the class this term,

We’re enjoying helping them to settle in and learn.
