Our week in Tim Peak!
This week we have been finding out about what Britain was like before Roman Britain. Did you know that in the Iron Age the Celts lived in round houses. These were made from mud and straw.
In maths, we have become experts at 3-digit numbers and are able to represent them using base 10.
In English, we have been learning our warning tale ‘Keep of the Tracks’ and have started to practice using fronted adverbials. Did you know that fronted adverbials are used when describing a setting to add more detail for the reader? It paints a better picture in their head!

This week, Year 1 dived into cricket and dodgeball, explored European foods and flags, and mastered addition with number balances. From perfecting past tense sentences to discovering the Isle of Wight on a map, it’s been a week full of fun and learning!
Year 2 have had a fantastic week filled with storytelling twists, hands-on computing, and a tasty fruit kebab project! They also explored online safety, got creative with seasonal artwork, and tackled sequencing with Bee-Bots. Find out more about their exciting activities!
This week, Tim Peake Class has been busy making music, sculpting with clay, and diving into stories—literally! From xylophone lessons and play performances to swimming progress and Stone Age adventures, it’s been a week full of creativity, confidence, and plenty of fun.
This term, we have delved into the classic novel Wuthering Heights. We focused on the intriguing scene where Mrs. Linton looks into the mirror.
This term, we are beginning to learn how to write a sentence using our phonics!
What a week we’ve had in Year 1,

This half term year 2 have been very busy! The children worked so hard during chance to shine and showed off their skills they have learnt.
Year 3 have been incredibly busy this half term. We have been exploring numbers up to 1000 using resources to help us represent the hundreds, tens and ones.
It has been a busy few weeks in Ellen MacArthur class. In English reading we have started a new book called ‘Goggle Eyes’.
Did you know that the sun is around four hundred times bigger than the moon and that is is almost exactly four hundred times further away?
